Bilaspur

The High Court has ordered the cancellation of an enforcement case report (ECIR) of the Central Agency against IPS GP Singh, alleging that he is accused of earning disproportionate assets. Along with this, the Division Bench of High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Kumar Sinha and Justice Ravindra Agwal has also canceled both the notices issued earlier. Let us know that New Delhi’s Head Investigating Unit had registered a case against GP Singh.

IPS GP Singh was booked for acquiring treason and acquiring disproportionate assets, when he was accused of making property in the name of his wife Manpreet Kaur. In the same case, apart from ACB, New Delhi’s Head Investigating Unit filed an ECIR against IPS GP Singh under the Dhan Laundering Act, after which he was issued a notice and sought details of the property earned in the name of his wife Manpreet Kaur.

GP Singh had filed a petition in the High Court against the criminal cases lodged by the state government, in which he described the FIR lodged against him as motivated by political maliciousness. The Division Bench of the High Court had rejected all other cases including disproportionate assets. He then filed a petition demanding the cancellation of ECIR registered by New Delhi.
