Patna: A terrifying incident occurred on Friday at the official residence of Bihar’s Scheduled Caste and Tribe Welfare Minister, Janak Ram, when a poisonous snake was spotted inside the premises. The appearance of the giant snake caused immediate panic among the minister’s staff and security personnel stationed at the residence.
The alarm was raised when the snake, estimated to be around 10 feet long, was seen slithering through the area. In a state of fear, the staff and security team quickly alerted the forest department for help. Responding promptly, a team from the forest department arrived at the scene and took control of the situation.
Security personnel, visibly shaken, watched as experts took charge. A Sarpamitra (snake expert) was called in to safely handle the reptile, which was securely tied up and placed into a sack.
Once contained, the snake was transported by the security team on a bike to a forest area, where it was released safely into its natural habitat. Following the successful operation, the security personnel and staff at the residence were visibly relieved, as onlookers gathered from nearby quarters, still shaken by the unexpected intrusion.
The incident serves as a reminder of the occasional wildlife encounters that can occur, even in urban settings, and the prompt response of the forest department ensured the safe removal of the snake.
