Bharatiya Janata Party state president Kiran Singh Dev has taken strict action in the matter of contesting elections against the party’s authorized candidate in the urban body elections and expelled all such candidates from the party for 6 years.

District BJP President Surendra Kaushik told the media that 30 people have been expelled from Durg Municipal Corporation area and 11 people have been expelled from Durg Municipal Corporation area. Independent rebel candidate Horilal Dewangan and Mrs. Sunita Rupnarayan Sharma and Kusum Dewangan have been expelled from Utai for the post of Patan Nagar Panchayat President. A total of 45 people have been expelled from BJP from Durg district.

Bharti Chandrakar, Santoshi Bai Patel Chokhelal Soni, Jitendra Kumar Tamarkar, Satish Kumar Dewangan, Ajit Kumar Vaidya, Khilvan Matiyara, Lata Sen, Babita Yadav, Seema Mishra, Vikas Kumar Tamarkar, Jagdish Soni, among the expelled expels of the councilor from Durg Municipal Corporation , Vijayalakshmi Mishra, Dinesh Kumar Verma, Ramratan Jalatare, Pooja Dewangan, Domeshwar Prasad Sahu, Mohit Kumar Tandon, Dasharatha Pandia, Narendra Harpal, Tarini Chandrakar, Lata Manoj Yadav, Rekha Bande, Ashwani Sahu, Savita Sahu, Motilal Sahu, Neelam Pawar, Jaundice is Sahu, Bhanumati Sahu, Kanchan Lalit Yadav.

Those expelled from Nagar Palika Parishad Kumhari include councilor candidates Vinod Kumar, Banjare Kurmani, Laxmi Narayan Sahu, Sunita Tiwari, Anurag Gupta, Omkar Prasad Markande. In Nagar Panchayat Patan, Vagesh Vasa Shankar from Ward No. 11 and Mrs. Laxmi Laxman Nirmalkar from ward number 13 have been expelled. Rebel councilor candidates Maya Thakur, Ashish Sahu, Bhishan Dewangan, Vijay Laxmi Sahu have been expelled from Nagar Panchayat Utai.
