On the instructions of Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, a new initiative of surprise inspection has been started to ensure the quality of construction works in the state. Under this, a surprise inspection of selected parties, districts, construction works and samples of material will be done on 5th and 20th of every month through software. In this sequence, recently, teams of Chief Engineers were inspected in one district each of the seven enclosures of the Public Works Department.
A review meeting was held through video conferencing under the chairmanship of Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation, Bharat Yadav. The meeting presented a report of 35 construction works of seven districts inspected, which were uploaded on the software and displayed on the portal. In the meeting, Managing Director Building Development Corporation Pankaj Jain, Chief Engineer Public Works Department KPS Rana, Chief Engineer S.R. Senior officials and all the Chief Engineers were present including Baghel.
Managing Director Yadav directed to prepare separate checklists for inspection of roads, buildings and bridge construction works. Suggested to decide a standard format for inspection reports to clearly show the shortcomings and positive points of construction works. He directed that after the lab report of the samples taken during the inspection, all the parties will have to submit the final inspection report.
In the review meeting, it was decided to take strict action in the construction work of Singpur-Dharampur Road to Majhpura Road, taking strict action to suspend the Deputy Minister and issue a show notice to the Executive Engineer. Instructions were given to the contractor Messrs Maa Sharda Construction and Suppliers Panna to blacklist.
Managing Director Yadav issued a show information letter to the Deputy Engineer on the basis of shortage found in One Stop Center Building Work in Panna district. Managing director Yadav said that special attention should be paid to the quality of construction works and no negligence will be tolerated. He said that contractors doing good work will also be encouraged.
