Attacks on Hindu temples in Bangladesh, India raised demand for protection of minorities

The Hindu community is being continuously targeted amid the power crisis in Bangladesh. Incidents of attacks on Hindus have increased in Bangladesh since Sheikh Hasina lost power. Recently, three Hindu temples have been attacked in Chattogram, Bangladesh, regarding which concern is being expressed at the local and international level.

According to the information, these attacks took place on Friday when a former ISKCON member of Bangladesh was charged with treason. On Monday, Saint Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested for insulting the national flag of Bangladesh, following which incidents of attacks on Hindu temples came to light.

India expressed concern over the matter and demanded protection of minorities living in Bangladesh. Many videos of this attack are going viral on social media, in which information about a mob attacking temples simultaneously after Friday prayers has come to light.
