Big campaign against beggars in Indore, reward of one thousand rupees for giving information

The country’s cleanest city Indore is now presenting an example across the country. In order to stop begging in Indore district, the Indore Collector started giving a reward of one thousand rupees to the citizens who reported alms and other places in the intersections, religious places and other people.

Calls from other cities

As a result, in Indore, 23 people have been rewarded for informing beggars in a month so far. More than 100 beggars were also caught. The experiment and helpline started in Indore to control beggars went viral on social media.

The effect of this was that more than 150 calls from other big cities including Guwahati, Assam, Puducherry, Nagpur have come to Indore team to catch the beggar.

Case filed directly for alms

In the third phase of the begging -free Indore campaign run by the Women and Child Development Department, the order was issued by Collector Ashish Singh on January 2, which will remain in force till 28 February. During this time, if the beggar gives anything in the form of alms, a case will be registered directly on purchasing any material from them.

Prize money

Along with this, helpline number 9691494951 was released to inform the begging. On which it was also asked to give a reward of one thousand rupees to those who inform the monks. After this, a large number of calls started coming every day. So far, the administration has honored 28 people who informed the monks and have given the prize money to them.

Calls coming every day from other states

In -charge of the campaign Dinesh Mishra said that the helpline number has been released only for Indore district. This number has become so viral on social media that calls are coming from other cities of Madhya Pradesh including Assam, Karnataka, Kashmir, Sikkim, Himachal, Guwahati, Nagpur, Puducherry for the rescue of beggars. People hold the monks and ask about the amount of reward.

Since January 3, more than 500 calls have been received in a month, of which more than 150 were from other states. Mishra said that more than 100 monks have been rescued on information by begging eradication team so far.

Reward being given on telling beggars

Indore is moving towards becoming the first beggar -free city in the country. The team is also getting phones giving information about beggars from Guwahati and other cities of the country. Earlier, when the teams used to take action of the monks rescue at the intersections, the beggar was missing from the intersections and religious sites for a few days. Later used to come again. Because of this, it was decided to include the general public in the campaign. He is also being rewarded for calling him a beggar. Get better results.
