At a luxury hotel in Hong Kong, Sun delighted a large audience by munching down the fruit, while praising the piece as “iconic” and drawing a comparison between conceptual art and the world of cryptocurrency.
The artwork, titled Comedian, was created by renowned Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan and was sold at a Sotheby’s auction in New York last week. Sun, one of seven bidders, won the auction and instantly made headlines with his bold and quirky decision to consume the fruit.
