Delhi’s unique world record in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, 11 players bowled together
In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024, the Delhi cricket team made such a world record that even the cricket world was surprised. Delhi set a new example in the T20 match played against Manipur, when all 11 players of the team bowled. This feat has happened for the first time in the history of T20 cricket, due to which Delhi’s name has been registered in the record books forever.
Delhi captain Ayush Badoni took the responsibility of wicketkeeping as well as bowling in this match. Overall, 11 Delhi players bowled against Manipur, with Harsh Tyagi, Digvesh Rathi and Mayank Rawat bowling three overs each, while Ayush Singh, Akhil Chaudhary and Ayush Badoni bowled two overs each.
The rest of the players also bowled one over each, which included Aryan Rana, Himmat Singh, Priyansh Arya, Yash Dhull and Anuj Rawat. Due to this strategic bowling, Manipur team could score only 120 runs at the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Delhi bowlers maintained constant pressure, due to which Manipur batsmen were not able to score runs.
Ahmed Shah scored the highest score of 32 runs for Manipur, but other batsmen of the team did not support him. Thus, Delhi achieved a historic victory by stopping Manipur with brilliant bowling. After this exciting and unique match, Delhi’s name has been recorded forever in the history of T20 cricket.
