Delta Teams Up with Shake Shack to Serve Burgers in the Sky Starting December 1

Airline food often gets a bad rap, but Delta is about to change that for Shake Shack fans. Starting December 1, 2024, first-class passengers on select Delta flights will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious Shake Shack cheeseburger at 30,000 feet.

The Atlanta-based airline has announced a unique “sky-high collaboration” with the popular fast-food chain, known for its cult following. Delta passengers departing from Boston will be able to pre-select a 100% Angus beef Shake Shack Cheeseburger as part of their in-flight meal options. The burger comes complete with all the classic toppings and can be customized to create a “signature ShackBurger” with ingredients like lettuce, tomato, and Shake Shack’s famous ShackSauce.

The Shake Shack experience on board doesn’t stop at the burger. The meal will also include chips, a Caesar salad, and a dark chocolate brownie, inspired by Shack Attack flavors. But here’s the catch: this exclusive meal will only be available on flights that are over 900 miles long, with plans to expand the offering to other markets throughout 2024.

Delta passengers will be able to select their burger choice via the Fly Delta app or through a link sent via email, with meal selections available for editing from seven days before departure up to 24 hours in advance.

“We know how iconic comfort foods like cheeseburgers are for our customers,” said Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service. “Burgers are one of the top items ordered, so we’re excited to elevate that with Shake Shack.”

So, if you’re flying out of Boston, get ready to enjoy a meal that’s sure to take your taste buds to new heights!
