Ex-contestant of Dance India Dance accused of rape, woman lodged complaint with police

An ex-contestant of TV’s popular dance reality show ‘Dance India Dance’ has been accused of serious rape. The woman has lodged a complaint with the police, after which the police have registered a case against the accused. Although the name of the accused has not been made public yet, but according to sources, he has been a student of famous dance choreographer Terence Lewis and was a contestant in the show ‘Dance India Dance’.

According to the woman’s complaint, the accused and the woman met in 2018. Then the accused had described himself as a student of Terence Lewis and a part of ‘Dance India Dance’. After this meeting, friendship between the two grew and gradually a love relationship developed. The woman says that the accused promised her marriage and under this promise they had physical relations.

According to the allegation, the woman gave birth to a son in 2021, but after this the accused not only left her but also cheated the woman and went back on the promise made to her. The incident caused deep mental and physical trauma to the woman, following which she lodged a police complaint.

The police have now started investigating the matter and appropriate legal action will be taken against the accused.
