However, Gambhir’s return to India is only temporary, as he will reach Australia again before the second Test match and join Team India.

After the Perth Test, Team India has to play a two-day practice match in Canberra, which will start from November 30. Gautam Gambhir will not be with the team in this practice match. However, before the second Test match, he will reach Adelaide with Team India. This test match will start from December 6, where Indian captain Rohit Sharma is also going to return. Rohit Sharma, who was out of the team due to injury in the first Test match, will now return to the field taking over the captaincy.
