In a landmark decision, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the introduction of PAN 2.0 as part of an effort to modernize India’s taxation system. How to Get Your Free PAN 2.0
The government is making it incredibly easy for PAN holders to get the upgraded card. Users will not have to pay any fees if they opt to receive their new PAN 2.0 card via email.
To obtain the new, secure PAN 2.0 card, follow these simple steps:
- Visit the NSDL Website: Go to the official NSDL page: https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/requestAndDownloadEPAN.html.
- Enter Your Details: Fill in your existing PAN number, Aadhaar card information, and date of birth.
- Verify Your Details: Carefully review your entered details and make sure they’re correct.
- OTP Verification: Tick the box for OTP verification, and you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to verify your details.
- Download Your PAN: Once verified, your new PAN 2.0 card will be sent to your registered email address within 30 minutes.
Physical PAN Card Option
If you prefer to receive a physical PAN card, you can request one for a nominal fee of Rs 50. For international delivery, an additional charge of Rs 15 will apply.
