India is in a strong position due to the impact of Pant’s catch drop on Bumrah’s bowling.
The Perth Test between India and Australia is going on, where after the bowlers, Team India seems to be in a strong position due to the excellent performance of the batsmen. India scored 150 runs in its first innings, in response to which Australia’s first innings was reduced to 104 runs. Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah performed strongly and shocked the Kangaroo team by taking five wickets.
Australia started the second day’s play with a score of 67/7 and soon lost two wickets. But after this, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood together added 25 runs for the tenth wicket and took the team’s score beyond 100.
However, if Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant had not dropped Hazlewood’s catch on Bumrah’s ball, the Kangaroo team’s score would have been reduced to 83 runs. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Starc-Hazelwood pair added 21 more runs. In this way, India had to pay the price of 21 runs for Pant’s dropping the catch.
However, Bumrah’s brilliant bowling and the Indian team’s strong performance have kept them in this position, and Australia will now have to fight hard for victory.
