JSSPS Clinches Top Honors at 25th Jharkhand State Wrestling Championship

Ranchi, Sports Correspondent – The 25th Senior Jharkhand State Women’s and Men’s Wrestling Championship concluded in Palamu on Friday, with the JSSPS team emerging as the overall champion in both the women’s and men’s categories. In the men’s freestyle category, Hazaribagh claimed the top spot with 80 points, while Sahebganj secured second place with 70 points, and Lohardaga finished third with 65 points.

In the Greco-Roman style men’s wrestling, JSSPS dominated with 110 points, edging out Koderma (105 points) and Bokaro (65 points) for the top spots. In the women’s freestyle wrestling, JSSPS again took the lead with 115 points, followed by Lohardaga in second place with 70 points and Gumla in third with 65 points.

The closing ceremony saw Chief Guest and Hockey India General Secretary Bholanath Singh, along with Pipra BDO Vinay Kumar and Jharkhand State Wrestling Association General Secretary Rajneesh Kumar, presenting awards to the winning teams. Trainers Rajeev Ranjan, Madhu Tirkey, and other distinguished guests also attended the event.

The championship showcased impressive performances across various categories, solidifying its place as one of the key events in the state’s wrestling calendar.
