Life imprisonment to the father who murdered his son in Mumbai. The careless attitude of the society is also under question.
A local court in Mumbai has sentenced a father to life imprisonment for murdering his son. This tragic incident that happened in 2018 came to light when 49-year-old Imran Shaikh murdered his 20-year-old son Salim Ali Shaikh by stabbing him with scissors. The allegation was that Salim had refused to call his stepmother “Ammi”, due to which the father took this dreadful step in anger.
According to police information, this incident took place in 2018, when Imran Shaikh killed his son. During the hearing of the case, Judge SD Tavshikar expressed concern over the incident and said that the incident took place at 9:30 pm in a busy area, but no person voluntarily informed the police about the matter. Commenting on this, the court said that the police had to repeatedly interrogate the people present at the spot during the investigation, which shows that there has been a lack of responsibility and sensitivity in the society.
This incident has also exposed the careless attitude of the society and raised the question to what extent our social responsibilities have been limited.
