Between the urban bodies and the panchayat elections, Naxalites have killed Joga Barsa, a panchayat candidate from Dhur Naxal -affected Arnpur in Dantewada district. According to the police, on Thursday night, the number of seven to eight Naxalites reached the house in Joga’s sarpanch Para.
Family kept praying to leave
The Naxalites hit the door of the house with an ax and entered inside. After this, Joga was brutally murdered by attacking with a sharp weapon. The family continued to plead to leave Joga Barsa, but the Naxalites did not listen.
It is being told that the Naxalites were tied on the face to hide their identity. Villagers said that Joga’s wife has been the sarpanch of Aranpur and this time Joga was in the electoral fray.
