“New hope opens for US student visa, old applicants will get a second chance!”
There is good news for students who dream of studying in America. The US Embassy has reopened the student visa application process for students. Students whose visas were rejected earlier will also get a chance to apply this time. Interviews for students who dream of pursuing education in the US will be held in November and December 2024.
Visa interview dates and details
The US Embassy has confirmed that this year’s winter student visa interviews will be launched during “International Education Week” (18 to 22 November 2024). During this time students will get a chance to interview for visa. The special thing is that students who have been rejected for visa earlier will also get the opportunity to apply this time, so that they will be able to start their studies in the spring season or later.
Which documents are required?
Students will need some important documents while applying for visa:
- Valid passport (valid for at least six months)
- School Admit Card and Related Forms
- Payment of Visa Application Fee
- Nonimmigrant Visa Application and DS-160 Form
- Recent photo of student
- Educational Certificate (Transcript, Diploma, Degree)

- Proof of plan to return after studying in America
- Proof of sufficient funds to reside in the US

US Embassy India tweeted that they are proud to start winter student visa interviews this year. Interview slots are available for students beginning studies in the spring and beyond. First new applicants will get a chance for interview, then slots will be opened for old applicants also.
