Now you will get forgiveness on delay in income tax return, CBDT reduced the time limit to 5 years

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has made a major change for those delaying filing income tax returns. Now income taxpayers will get only 5 years instead of 6 years to apply for waiver. Along with this, evidence and documents will also have to be submitted along with the waiver application. If the matter is in the court, the application will have to be submitted within 6 months after the court’s decision.
