Lincoln, NE – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paige Laureen Hubl, who passed away on November 24, 2024, at the age of 34. Paige was born on November 2, 1990, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Gerald and Gay (Wisch) Hubl. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family, friends, and the world of sports.
Paige was an extraordinary individual, known for her infectious passion for life. Her radiant smile and warm heart had a unique ability to light up any room she entered. She was a loving daughter, sister, and friend, whose presence was cherished by all who knew her. Whether she was cooking, spending time with her family, or traveling, Paige made sure to live life to the fullest and inspire those around her to appreciate the simple, beautiful moments in life.
A standout athlete, Paige was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at Lincoln Southeast High School, where she showcased her exceptional skills and leadership. Paige later went on to become the head coach of the Knights Volleyball team, where she had a significant impact on the lives of her players. Her contributions to the sport were not limited to her coaching career. Paige was also a prominent member of the Husker volleyball team. As a co-captain during her senior year, Paige was a defensive force and a key player on the team, loved by both her teammates and coaches for her dedication and passion for the game.
Paige is survived by her mother, Gay (Wisch) Hubl; her two sisters, Jenna (Eric) Broulette and Stacie (Quante) Dorsey; as well as her beloved niece and nephews, Pierce and Callen Dorsey, and Braxton, Burke, and Blaize Broulette. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who will forever carry the memories of her love and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Hubl; her grandparents, Rudy and Yvonne Hubl, and Connie Wisch; and her cousin, Luke Jerosik. Paige’s family and friends take comfort knowing that her spirit, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her life.
A visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, located at 4040 A Street in Lincoln. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 840 S 17th St, Lincoln, with a luncheon to follow.
