Pushpa 2: The Rule Set for Record-Breaking Release on 12,000 Screens Worldwide

Pushpa 2: The Rule is all set to make a grand entry into theaters next week, with an unprecedented global release across 12,000 screens. The Allu Arjun-led film will also achieve a historic milestone as the Indian movie with the highest number of IMAX screens allocated to it.

The producers have confirmed that the film will be released in over 12,000 screens worldwide, with the IMAX version leading the charge. “Pushpa 2: The Rule will release in 12,000+ screens across the world. The film will have the biggest release ever in IMAX version for an Indian Film. Audiences can enjoy the film in six languages across the globe using the Cinedubs App,” they shared.

Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music by T-Series, Pushpa 2 continues the story where the first film left off. The 2021 blockbuster showcased a gripping tale of power struggles within the world of red sandalwood smuggling, and the sequel picks up with Allu Arjun reprising his role as Pushpa Raj, the laborer-turned-sandalwood smuggler.

The trailer, released in mid-November, has generated excitement, with Rashmika Mandanna returning as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil reprising his role as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. Additionally, actor Sreeleela will appear in a special dance number, set to be the “Kissik Song of the Year.”

The film was recently given a U/A certificate by the censor board, with minor cuts, including the removal of certain words and some intense violent scenes. While Pushpa 2 was originally scheduled for an August release, delays pushed its date to December 6. However, the makers have decided to release it a day earlier, on December 5.

Following the massive success of its predecessor, which was simultaneously released in Telugu and dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, Pushpa 2 is expected to continue its dominance, particularly in the Hindi-speaking regions. Fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the next chapter of this action-packed saga.
