Rishabh Pant becomes the most expensive player, joins LSG team for Rs 27 crores

The first day of the IPL 2025 mega auction was a blast, where a total of 72 players were auctioned. During this period, three players crossed the Rs 20 crore mark. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant broke all the old records of the auction and acquired the title of the most expensive player in IPL history. After saying goodbye to Delhi Capitals, Pant has now become a part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). His entry has made LSG very strong for the upcoming season.

LSG bought 6 players on the first day in the mega auction. The team played a big gamble by including Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore. Additionally the team:

  • Mitchell Marsh: ₹3.40 crore
  • Avesh Khan: ₹9.75 crore
  • Abdul Samad: ₹4.20 crore
