Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Saudi Arabia had enough land to provide a state to Palestinians. His statement came at a time when the debate on US President Donald Trump’s ‘Gaza Plan’ continues. According to Israeli media, Netanyahu, who visited Washington, said during an interview with a channel, "A Palestinian state can be formed in Saudi Arabia; They have a lot of land there."

Meanwhile, in a video message filmed at the hotel in Washington, the Israeli PM said that Donald Trump’s suggestion on Gaza should be heard carefully as it is a fundamental idea that has come up in years. Netanyahu has already supported Trump’s Gaza plan, which was introduced by the US President at a joint press conference on Tuesday (January 4).

Trump said that the United States would capture the Gaza strip devastated by the war and develop it financially after the Palestinians are settled elsewhere. While proposing to develop Gaza, it was clearly stated that the displacement of Palestinians would be permanent. However, it was later clarified in the White House that any displacement from Gaza would be temporary.

Trump’s suggestion was rejected by Palestinians and leaders around the world but it had no effect on the US President. He once again repeated his views on the Truth Social Platform on Thursday. Trump wrote, "At the end of the fight, Israel will hand over the Gaza Strip to the United States." He also claimed that no American soldier would be needed on the ground to rebuild the region.

7 October 2023 In response to Hamas’s major attack in Israel, the Jewish nation launched a military operation in the Gaza Strip occupied by the Palestinian Group. Around 1200 people were killed in Hamas’s attack while more than 250 people were taken hostage. The Israeli attacks have caused mass havoc in Gaza and thousands of Palestinians have died. Currently, the war in Gaza under a ceasefire agreement has stopped. As part of the terms of the agreement, Hamas released the hostages, while Israel freed the Palestinian prisoners.
