Saudi Arabia has been granted the honor of hosting the 2034 FIFA World Cup after securing a historic bidding score of 419.8 out of 500. The nation triumphed over a joint bid from the USA, Canada, and Mexico, marking a significant milestone in its sports and global ambitions.
The FIFA decision is expected to be officially confirmed on December 11. This will be Saudi Arabia first time hosting the prestigious tournament, and it will take place during the winter season of 2034.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, the Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, expressed his gratitude for the country’s leadership. I extend my deepest gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their support and empowerment, which played a pivotal role in achieving this outstanding result, he said.
