In the mega auction of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings had bet on an experienced spinner and that spinner was Shreyas Gopal. CSK got this spin specialist for the base price of just Rs 30 lakh. Shreyas, who was a part of Mumbai Indians last season, surprised everyone with his spin magic as soon as he joined CSK.

In the match played against Sikkim in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament, Shreyas Gopal trapped the opposition team’s batsmen in his web of spin in such a way that the entire Sikkim team collapsed after scoring just 82 runs. Gopal troubled the Sikkim batsmen so much with his lethal bowling that their batting order was shattered.
