Sonet A Triumphs Over JCA Adki A to Reach Final in Khunti District Cricket Association’s B Division
In a thrilling semi-final clash at the Khunti District Cricket Association’s B Division tournament, Sonet A emerged victorious over JCA Adki A by four wickets. The match, held on Friday, saw JCA Adki A post a challenging total of 209 runs in 35 overs. Saurabh Kumar was the standout performer for JCA A, scoring a brilliant 103 runs, while Manan Ansari and Shamim Hasnain contributed 23 runs each.
On the bowling front, Sonet A’s Abid Naushad was the star, claiming three wickets, supported by Chandan Kumar with two. Neeraj Manjhi, Krish, and Parmeshwar each took a wicket as well.
In response, Sonet A chased down the target of 210 runs in just 22.5 overs, securing the win. Ramesh Mahato was the top scorer for Sonet A with 45 runs, while Abid Naushad played a key role with 39 runs. Anjani Kumar (31), Chandan (28), Jaideep, and Mihir (23 each) also contributed to the successful chase.
For JCA Adki A, Shamim Hasnain and Priyanshu Rai took two wickets each, while Aman Kumar and Sachin Marandi claimed one wicket each.
Abid Naushad’s outstanding performance with both bat and ball earned him the well-deserved ‘Man of the Match’ award, presented by Awadhesh Kashyap, District Representative of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association.
