Three types of balls are used in test cricket, know their colors and history.
There are three major types of balls used in Test cricket: Kookaburra, SG and Dukes. These balls influence the way cricket is played in different countries, and different colored balls are used in each format.
Earlier only red ball was used in test matches, but now there has been a change in the world of cricket and pink ball has also started being used. On 22 November 2019, India won its first pink-ball Day-Night Test match against Bangladesh, which proved to be an important milestone in the history of Indian cricket.
The pink ball is especially used for night matches, as it is more clearly visible at night. Additionally, it has a slightly different swing and backspin than the red ball, providing different challenges to both batsmen and bowlers.
