Vande Bharat Express Launches for Diwali: New Route from Delhi to Patna with Special Timings and Fares

As the festive season approaches, millions across the country are preparing to celebrate Diwali on October 31. To facilitate this surge in travel, Indian Railways has announced the launch of the Vande Bharat Express, providing a fast and convenient option for passengers heading home. The service commenced on October 30, with an initial trial run connecting New Delhi to Patna, Bihar.

New Route and Schedule

The newly introduced Vande Bharat Express will operate on a route covering approximately 994 kilometers between Delhi and Patna, completing the journey in 11 hours and 35 minutes. This express train will make stops at several key stations, including Ara, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj, and Kanpur.

The Vande Bharat Express is scheduled to run three days a week: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Here’s the detailed timing:

  • From Delhi to Patna:
    • Departure: 8:25 AM
    • Arrival: 8:00 PM
  • From Patna to Delhi:
    • Departure: 7:30 AM
    • Arrival: 7:00 PM

Fare Details

The Vande Bharat Express is offering Chair Car seating, making it an affordable yet comfortable travel option. The ticket prices are as follows:

  • AC Chair Car: ₹2575
  • Executive Chair Car: ₹4655

Starting today, travelers can book their tickets for this express service, especially useful for those planning to return home during the festive season.

Additional Operations

In the coming days, the Vande Bharat Express will continue its operations on November 1, 3, and 6, further accommodating the travel needs of those celebrating Diwali and Chhath. Passengers are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth journey during this busy period.
