“Petrol-Diesel Prices Today: Dealer Commission Increased, No Impact on Fuel Prices Across India”

Petrol and diesel prices in India remain steady as oil companies, including Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), announce an increase in the commission for petrol pump dealers. This change addresses the dealers’ long-standing demands without affecting consumer prices. IOC confirmed on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that the new commission rates for petrol and diesel dealers would be implemented starting October 30, 2024.

Dealer Commission Increase Effective Today

The revised commission structure aims to benefit fuel dealers without impacting retail petrol and diesel prices. Currently, dealers receive a commission of ₹1,868.14 per kiloliter on petrol and ₹1,389.35 per kiloliter on diesel, with a portion of the bill amount included in their total earnings. This increase in dealer commission will lead to enhanced services for consumers without price hikes at the pump.

States Benefiting from Lower Petrol-Diesel Prices

While retail prices remain unchanged in most locations, transportation cost adjustments within certain states will reduce petrol and diesel prices. Fuel rates will see a dip in states such as Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Mizoram, and Himachal Pradesh. In Odisha’s Malkangiri district, the petrol price in areas like Kunnapalli and Kalimela will drop by ₹4.69 and ₹4.55 per liter, respectively, while diesel prices will decrease by ₹4.45 and ₹4.32 per liter. Similarly, in Sukma, Chhattisgarh, petrol and diesel prices will see reductions of ₹2.09 and ₹2.02, respectively.

Petrol and Diesel Prices in Major Indian Cities

Despite these regional adjustments, the petrol and diesel prices in India’s metro cities remain the same. Here are the rates in key metropolitan areas:
