Channing Tatum Shares Behind-the-Scenes Look at ‘Rooferman’ Amid Engagement Split Rumors with Zoë Kravitz

Channing Tatum is shifting his focus back to work as he shares glimpses from the set of his upcoming project, “Rooferman.” This comes amid swirling rumors that he and his fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, have called off their engagement.

In a recent post on social media, Tatum shared candid behind-the-scenes photos featuring him in a grungy white tee and basketball shorts, sitting on a bench in front of a nostalgic Toys “R” Us sign. He captioned the images, “Just got out of jail and went to Toys ‘R’ Us… How’s your day going? Hehe #Rooferman Dirty and tired but still a Toys ‘R’ Us kid.”

In “Rooferman,” Tatum portrays Jeffrey Manchester, a former Army Ranger turned struggling father who makes a living by robbing McDonald’s restaurants through their rooftops, earning him the moniker “Rooferman.” However, after escaping from prison, he finds himself hiding in a toy store, where he unexpectedly falls for a single mother and her two daughters, prompting him to seek a fresh start in life.

The film, directed by Derek Cianfrance, also features Kirsten Dunst, marking her first film since 2016’s “The Beguiled.”

As for Tatum and Kravitz, neither has publicly addressed their reported split, which is believed to have occurred weeks ago. Despite this, they seem to have maintained an amicable relationship, with Tatum’s last post about Kravitz arriving just hours before breakup rumors began to circulate. In that post, he mentioned their collaboration on an upcoming film, “Alpha Gang.”

“Alpha Gang,” produced by Cate Blanchett, features a cast that includes Dave Bautista, Steven Yeun, Léa Seydoux, and Riley Keough. The film follows a group of alien invaders disguised as a leather-clad biker gang from the 1950s, known as the Alpha Gang, who are on a mission until they encounter the most toxic and contagious human condition of all: emotions.

Tatum and Kravitz first met in 2021 when he was cast in her directorial debut, “Pussy Island,” which is set to release in 2024.

Rumors of their romance began when they were spotted biking around New York City and later made a public appearance together at the Met Gala. They confirmed their relationship on Instagram in October 2021 by sharing a photo of themselves dressed as a couple from Martin Scorsese’s classic 1976 film “Taxi Driver.” Tatum proposed in 2023 with a gothic-inspired ring that stunned engagement ring experts, with estimates ranging from $250,000 to $1.3 million.

The ring, featuring a rare elongated cushion-cut diamond set in a simple gold band, perfectly reflects Kravitz’s unique style, blending gothic and glam influences with a touch of old Hollywood charm.

As Tatum dives deeper into his career with “Rooferman,” fans eagerly await to see how his personal life evolves alongside his professional endeavors.
