Fresh and Dynamic Exterior
The latest leaked images reveal significant design updates in the new Maruti Dzire. The car now sports a large front grille with horizontal slats, creating a bold, modern look. Unlike the honeycomb pattern seen on the Swift, the Dzire’s grille is distinct and incorporates a refined chrome strip. The vehicle also features sleek LED headlights with horizontal DRLs, adding a contemporary touch to its front profile.
Maruti has introduced new dual-tone alloy wheels, adding sophistication to the car’s stance. At the rear, the Dzire showcases unique Y-shaped LED taillights connected by a chrome strip, bringing a refreshed look that’s expected to appeal to a broad audience.
Enhanced Interiors and Tech Features
The Maruti Dzire’s interior has received several noteworthy updates, expected to include a dual-tone black and beige theme similar to that of the latest Swift. A 9-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charger, auto AC with rear vents, and cruise control are all expected as part of its tech-savvy package. A sunroof may also be included, making the Dzire the first subcompact sedan in its class to feature this luxury addition.
In terms of safety, Maruti Suzuki has upgraded the Dzire with six airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera. These features align with modern safety standards, providing enhanced protection for drivers and passengers alike.
Performance and Engine Upgrades
Under the hood, the new Dzire will be powered by Maruti’s latest Z-Series 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine, which generates 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with both a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox, offering flexibility to different driving preferences. This powertrain is the same as the one currently available in the Swift, known for its impressive fuel efficiency of up to 26 km/l. Reports suggest that the Dzire will deliver a similar mileage range, between 25 to 27 km/l, making it one of the most fuel-efficient sedans in its category.
CNG Variant: High Mileage for Budget-Conscious Drivers
For CNG users, Maruti Suzuki plans to launch a CNG version of the Dzire as well. Media sources hint that the Dzire CNG will offer an impressive mileage of 30-32 km/kg. While Tata has introduced twin CNG tanks in its vehicles, Maruti continues to use a single larger CNG tank. It remains to be seen whether Maruti will introduce twin CNG tanks in the Dzire, offering an even better driving range on CNG mode.
Advanced Safety and Hybrid Technology
In addition to its design and performance updates, the new Dzire is expected to feature Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) for added safety, a first for the Dzire. The sedan may also come equipped with hybrid technology, emphasizing Maruti’s focus on fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
Expected Price and Availability
The current Dzire’s price starts at ₹6.56 lakh (ex-showroom). With the introduction of advanced features and safety upgrades, the starting price of the new Dzire may see an increase, likely beginning around ₹6.99 lakh.
As Maruti Suzuki gears up for the launch, excitement is building among car enthusiasts. The next-gen Dzire, with its modern upgrades, safety enhancements, and anticipated fuel efficiency, is set to become a strong contender in India’s sedan market.
