Princess Eugenie Celebrates Halloween with Family Traditions and Fond Memories

Princess Eugenie has a delightful history of celebrating Halloween, known for her memorable costumes and family festivities. From dressing up with her cousin Prince Harry and then-girlfriend Meghan Markle in 2016 to sharing adorable photos of her son August’s first Halloween in 2021, Eugenie has embraced the spooky season with enthusiasm.

Currently residing in Portugal with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their two sons, August and Ernest, Eugenie’s family likely enjoyed a cozy Halloween celebration this year, possibly passing down costumes from one child to another. In 2021, Eugenie shared a charming image of August, then a toddler, dressed as a blue monster with orange ears and multiple eyes. Accompanying the photo, she humorously captioned it: “At least my little monster is scary!”

Eugenie has long been an advocate for sustainability, so it’s no surprise that she may have recycled outfits for her youngest son, Ernest, who was born in May 2023. As a five-month-old last Halloween and now 17 months old, Ernest is just beginning to participate in the festive fun. The couple likely embraced the fall weather, possibly carving pumpkins or enjoying some trick-or-treating in Portugal’s pleasant 19-degree climate.

Flashback to 2016, when Eugenie and Jack celebrated Halloween with Meghan and Harry, the foursome dressed in themed costumes for a fun night out. Meghan reminisced during a 2021 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” recalling their playful night before the world knew they were a couple. Harry donned a Mad Max costume while Meghan sported an aviator hat. Eugenie stood out in her pink headscarf, dark sunglasses, and black makeup, embodying a unique character for the occasion.

In his memoir “Spare,” Harry described the nerves he felt preparing for the themed fancy-dress party. “We invited Eug and Jack to join us for Halloween. We were going to a big party at Soho House in Toronto, and the theme was ‘Apocalypse.’ I told Meg that I never had good luck with themed fancy-dress parties, but I’d give it another shot,” he wrote. Harry humorously recounted trying on his costume in Meghan’s small bathroom, leading to a burst of laughter from her when he emerged.

As Halloween continues to evolve, Princess Eugenie’s family traditions highlight the joy of celebrating with loved ones, creating cherished memories that blend fun, creativity, and a touch of royal charm.
