Sarah Jessica Parker Strikes Back After Halloween Pumpkin Heist

Sarah Jessica Parker recently became the victim of a Halloween pumpkin theft outside her West Village home, igniting a mix of outrage and humor among fans. The actress had adorned her stoop with an array of stunning purple and gold pumpkins, creating a warm and inviting display for the Halloween season. However, by the end of Halloween night, only a few orange pumpkins and some candles remained, alongside a cheeky message from Parker that read: “Pumpkin thieves should be ashamed!!!”

Images published by the Daily Mail captured the elaborate setup, showcasing Parker’s seasonal decorations that were meant to welcome guests to her home. Unfortunately, surveillance footage reportedly caught the thieves in the act, revealing them with the stolen purple pumpkins in hand.

This isn’t the first time Parker has faced such a peculiar predicament. In 2019, she experienced a similar incident when her pumpkins, carefully transported from the Berkshires to New York City, were stolen from her front steps. At the time, she shared a video of her empty stoop, lamenting, “An APB has been issued for our beautiful pumpkins, carefully chosen and brought home from the Berkshires in Massachusetts. Distinctive features—round and orange, various sizes. Not yet carved.”

In her 2019 reflection, she noted that not only were her pumpkins taken, but so were others from their block. She humorously dubbed it “the official 2019 Halloween heist,” quoting her husband, Matthew Broderick, who remarked, “Decency is dead.” Yet, she remained optimistic about finding last-minute replacements to complete their Halloween spirit.

Parker and Broderick live in a stunning $35 million home in New York City’s West Village, having purchased a pair of townhouses for $34.5 million in 2016 and spent years renovating them into a single luxurious residence. The couple, proud parents to 22-year-old James and 15-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha, previously owned a $3 million townhouse in Manhattan and a Greek Revival-style townhouse in Greenwich, which they sold between 2011 and 2015.
